CHALLENGE
A major American automobile manufacturer with a global presence, faced several challenges in optimizing their testing processes. Key issues included inadequate information on Knowledge Transfer (KT), the need for efficient retention of profitable customers, and hurdles in offshore support and onsite coordination. Additionally, challenges related to the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) search and the optimization of test classes were identified. The absence of a proper testing methodology further compounded these challenges.
SOLUTION
In response to the challenges faced by the client in optimizing their testing processes, a comprehensive set of solutions was strategically implemented. The first major initiative involved the thorough review and restructuring of test classes to enhance efficiency and coverage. Concurrently, a robust testing methodology was developed, fostering consistency and reliability in testing procedures. Addressing offshore support and onsite coordination challenges, strategic strategies were implemented to enhance communication and collaboration between the global teams.
RESULT
The second phase of solutions focused on specific functional improvements. The VIN search functionality underwent a comprehensive enhancement, ensuring a seamless and accurate experience for users.
