CHALLENGES

The primary challenge faced by the project centered around the availability and performance of Team Center, a pivotal Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool. Improve Team Center Availability: Enhance the availability of Team Center to ensure consistent access to PLM functionalities.
Optimize Data Retrieval Time: Address the issue of slow performance during the retrieval of large datasets from Team Center.

SOLUTIONS

In response to the challenges posed by Team Center’s sluggish performance and prolonged data retrieval times, a comprehensive set of strategic solutions was implemented. The project prioritized the optimization of Team Center’s performance, with a detailed review undertaken to identify and address bottlenecks, especially during the retrieval of extensive datasets. Concurrently, the team actively engaged in internal stand-up calls, reviews, and testing sessions to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of the implemented optimizations, adhering to rigorous standards of testing and quality assurance. Furthermore, a proactive approach was adopted in requirements gathering sessions, fostering active participation to align the project with customer expectations and needs.

RESULTS

This collaborative approach ensured that the implementation of the product was finely tuned to the customer’s specific requirements. As part of the overarching strategy, measures were introduced to handle Team Center effectively, fostering smooth operations and optimal performance. The results were noteworthy, with the enhanced availability of Team Center providing consistent and reliable access to PLM functionalities. Moreover, the optimizations in data retrieval processes led to a substantial reduction in the time required for accessing extensive datasets, marking a significant improvement in overall system efficiency.
